The retail cluster that sits along Bunting Road and Welland Avenue in the east end of St. Catharines is well established. This retail node is loosely defined by Cushman Road, Dieppe Road, Grantham Avenue and Welland Avenue. Welland Avenue provides easy access to the QEW and thus represents a trade area that services roughly 400,000 people. This node is surrounded by a mixture of residential and industrial uses (Cushman Road, Eastchester, Dunkirk Road).
Along Welland Avenue, there are two large retail plazas, a number of small strip plazas and many small stand alone commercial entities. Bunting is made up of a number of industrial/commercial plazas.
